Welcome to Part 2 of the video series “How to read and write Hangeul”! Through this series you can learn how Korean letters are combined to make sounds and meanings. If you haven’t watched Part 1 yet, check it out by clicking here. In this part, we are looking at the consonants ㅅ, ㅂ, ㅈ, ㄹ, and the vowels ㅐ, ㅔ, ㅓ, ㅡ.

Hello! I’m romanian. In our language we have a vowel similar with your _ (eu). It is written â or î , depending on the position at the begining of the word or in the middle.
So, we have something in common :d. ( something-eun I’d write in hangeul) :d

ive noticed that the S symbol also makes a T sound after going through other lessons… could you explain why it does this?

but i wonder, isn’t the ㅂ more like a soft p- sound instead of the b sound which is ㅃ? confused ?

these two videos are so informative. after watching both vids twice, I could already read a fair number of hangeul words. I didn’t understand them yet, but at least I could read them! ^_^ Wish you’d continue with Part 3
