안녕하세요! In this lesson, we will be looking at how to say “I’m not sure if…” in Korean by using the structure -(으/느)ㄴ지 잘 모르겠어요. As with many other aspects of the Korean language, it’s important to remember that this structure is not going to be translated word for word, so make sure you check out the lesson to learn more about it!
You can view a free PDF for this lesson here, or if you want to study with our TalkToMeInKorean textbooks, you can get them here. And after you learn the basics, try writing your own Korean sentences and get corrections from native speakers through HaruKorean, our 1:1 correction service.

안녕하세요!
저는 질문 있어요.^^
When I read through the “Slang expression Audio-book PDF”, I saw this two Korean word “걔” and “쟤” both are translated into English word “she/her”.Does this two words are exchangeable? If I want to express”he/him”,can I use this “걔” or “걔” as well?
선생님들이 설명해주시면 좋겠어요.^^
감사합니다!!!
Very useful expression. I heard this a lot in everyday speech. It would be great if you also give the patterns for “when it comes to + noun/V-ing, …” in the next lesson. Kamsahamnida.
안녕하세요!
please 선생님 could you do correct this for me ?
i’m not sure if this movie is interesting or not = 이 영화가 재미있 는 안 재미있 는지 잘 모르겠어요.

if i were u, i would say;
이 영화가 재미있는지 재미없는지 잘 모르겠어요.

what are u trying to say actually?
Oops! Mistranslation haha!
I means these days I am busy, so I don’t know if I’m hungry ^^;;;
Haha I know it doesn’t make sense though
어제 나 말했는지 안 기역하세요?
“어제 내 말한 건지 기억이 안나요?” 이건 좀 더 맞는 것 같아요.

I’m a great fan of Secret Garden, haha, so happy the expression 확실해요 was explained here! And even more happy that I managed to catch up with your lessons! Thanks for this great site, I found that I can understand a bit more when I watch Korean drama now.

안녕하세요! I’m wondering something: What’s the difference between ㅆ는지 and ㅆ을지 for past occurrences you aren’t sure of? This great lesson and its PDF make me expect only ㅆ는지, but I’ve also seen ㅆ을지. Is ㅆ을지 a little “guessier” thanks to its ㄹ, or is there a more substantial grammatical difference?
감사합니다!
안녕하세요! ^^
I wrote this sentence using this structure but I’m not sure if what I’m trying to say translates correctly.
I’m going to go out with my friends tonight but I don’t know what to wear.
나 친구들하고 같이 나갈게 그렇지만 입을것 입을지 잘 모르겠어요.
I’m confused with trying to say “I don’t know what to wear.” I changed 입다 to 입을것 to make it a noun but I’m not entirely certain that’s correct.
감사합니다 TTMIK!
이 여자가 내 첫 사랑 맞는지 잘 모르겠어요…
is this sentence correct? ^^
결정 맞는지 안 맞는지 잘 모르겠어요.
이 영화를 볼지 잘 모르겠어요.
i want to ask, how about if you are taking about a noun? pls.. response i really need your answer.. thank you
Sometime I heard in k-drama they said something like this “ker-sey-yo” (I don’t know how to spell it) mean like I’m not sure or I’m don’t know. What is the correct spelling/pronunciation.
글쎄(요) Generally keulsse is right. But maybe if pronounced fast, with Korean accent, it can possibly come slightly as keursse. But unlike several other exception rules with pronunciation, this one, I don’t think you should try saying deliberately
Thanks dude !!! long time having this confusion =)
갈 수 있는지 안 갈 수 있는지 잘 모르겠어요. I’m not sure if I can go or not.
갈 수 있는지 안 가는지 잘 모르겠어요. I’m not sure if I can go or not.
어느거 맞아요? Which is right??
“갈 수 있는지 갈 수 없는지 잘 모르겠어요” 라고 더 맞는 것 같아요. ^^
Whoa that escalated quickly! I don’t even know how to meet someone yet:)
