Thanks Greg! I know 성생님 is busy. I appreciate that you replied.

You always have to answer my questions and in giving
helpful informations. It’s really hard to study without
someone to talk to. I really love to study and learn different languages. I guess this is harder than Philosophy, hehe.
Hope you will help me again! ‘Til next time.

    Thank you!

    오가닉그 음식만 먹어요.
    차를 안몰어요. 그리고 자전거를 타기만해요.

    “I eat only organic food.”
“I do not drive cars. Rather I only ride bicycles.”

    Correct?

    • jinseokjin says:

      오가닉 > 유기농

      (저는) 유기농 음식만 먹어요.

      차를 안몰어요. 그리고 자전거를 타기만해요.
      > 차를 안 몰아요. 그리고 자전거만 타요.

    오늘은 한국어만 말할 거예요.
    왜 김치만 매일 먹어요?
김치를 보기만 할 거예요, 안 먹고 싶어요.
    지금은 공부하기만 해요.

  5. Natalie says:

Why is it 들었어요 at first, but in the second sentence using “듣다” it changed to 듣 instead of 들 like in the first example? It is just for ease of speaking? 감사합니다! ^_^

    • Mangalf says:

“들었어요” is the conjugated verb. When you conjucate 듣다, it becomes 들어요 (present). The nominalisation of a verb works conjugating the verb though.
      So 듣다 is 듣기

      Another example:
      마시다 (to drink)
      nominalisation: 마시기
      conjugation: 마셔요

  6. Nisha says:

If I want to say ” I will only listen ” as for the future, would it be ” 듣기만 할 거예요 ” ? 감사합니다 !

  7. Daniela says:

I only want to be taught by the two of you together. I love the way you “flirt” with each other. Ha ha.

  8. Michael says:

    이것만 살 거예요.<
    이것 사기만 할 거예요<

so do both of these sentences say the same thing?

when i read this i felt like the first sentence means " Im going to buy ONLY 'THIS' " and i feel like the 2nd sentence means " Im going to ONLY 'BUY' this " (im not gonna do anything else but 'BUY' this).

    • jinseokjin says:

      Hi Michael,

You understand the differences well. you are right. The first one emphasize THIS and the latter one emphasize the action BUY.

Yeah, but their meanings are same.

  9. 재임스 says:

    안녕하세요 선생님.

    여기에 이야기이에요:

저는 말해요 학생 매일 “잘 있었어요?”.

    그는 말해만 “배고파요” 매일.

그래서 오늘 저는 말해요 “너는 말해만 매일 ‘배고파요!.”.

    재밌었어요.

    Please write any corrections.

    • jinseokjin says:

저는 말해요 학생 매일 “잘 있었어요?”.
      > 매일 저는 그 학생에게 말해요. “잘 있었어요?”

      그는 말해만 “배고파요” 매일.
      > 그는 매일 “배고파요”라고만 말해요.

그래서 오늘 저는 말해요 “너는 말해만 매일 ‘배고파요!.”.
      > 그래서 오는 저는 말했어요. “너는 매일 “배고파요”만 해!”.

      Thanks for your comment. :)
