안녕하세요! There are many different ways of linking verbs in one sentence in Korean, and we’ve already looked at how to use -고 [-go] through one of our previous lessons. Today, in this lesson, we are looking at how the verb ending -아/어/여서 works. After studying this lesson, you will feel that your sentence building skills in Korean have improved a lot! Have fun!

티티믹*한테서 한국어 배워서 => 티티믹”에서” sounds more natural.
Because 한테(서) is usually used with animacy.(person, dog etc)
so.. 티티믹에서 한국어 배우면 언젠가 한국어로 말할 수 있을 거예요. 그러면 한국에 갈 거예요.^^

Does this particle take/accept other tenses ?
Like
Is it ” 어제 식당에 갔어서 blablabla” or ” 어제 식당에 가서 blablabla” ?
Same thing for the futur.
Would the verb ending – 서 work with tense markers ?

As you said, 아서/어서/여서 doesn’t work with tense system.

NOT 어제 식당에 갔어서 김치찌개를 먹었어요.(x)
지난 주에 비가 너무 많이 와서 휴가를 못 갔어요.
talking about last week. but NOT 왔어서,just 와서
There’s only one past tense! just at the end of the sentence.(last verb)

Does the sentence mean that your colleague said that next weekend, there will be her birthday party in her house?
If so, I can write them in Korean like this.
내 친구에 따르면, 다음주 그녀의 생일파티가 그녀의 집에서 열릴 것이다.

Hi,
Thanks for the great lesson. I’ve one question.
In your example sentence, “케익을 사서 친구한테 줄 거예요”, you translated it as “I’m going to buy a cake to/and give it to a friend.” You assumed that 케익을 사서 is in the future.
Can this sentence be also translated as “I bought a cake and I’m going to give it to a friend.” ? Since the verb before 서 doesn’t tell you the timing of the action.
케익을 사서 is future tense and it can’t be translated as past tense.
If you want to say ” I bought a cake and I’m going to give it to a friend.” in Korean, you can say
“케익을 샀고, 친구한테 줄 거예요. “

Regarding this sentence, there is no grammatical mistakes and no vocabulary mistakes. However the English sentence is in past tense.
I would write it like this below:
나는 친구한테 줄 선물을 샀어요.

For “on one’s way”, I can say “~ 가는 중” in Korean.

At 5:29 in the lesson; I believe the teachers say,
“집중-하세요!” “Chipjung-haseyo!” “Please concentrate!”
At 6:36 in the lesson; I believe Hyeonno-shi says,
“예문 이 정말 중요-해요.”
“Yemun-i cheongmal chungyo-haeyo.”
“Sample-sentences are really important.”
“Yemun (sample-sentences) i (subject-marker) cheongmal (really) chungyo-haeyo (important).”
What did Kyeong-eun-shi say at 11:08 in the lesson? I did not catch the last part of the sentence. Did she say?
“그래서, 한국어-는 끗 까지 드러-봐요 되 다-는 말-이 써요.”
“Keuraeseo, Hangukeo-neun kkeut kkaji teureo-bwayo dae/dwae da/ta-neun malr-i sseoyo.”
“So, to be able to use all speech; try listening to Korean to the end.
“Keuraeseo (so), Hangukeo-neun (Korean-language) kkeut (end) kkaji (to) teureo (listening) bwayo (try) dae/dwae (be able) da/ta (all) neun (topic-marker) malr (speech) i (subject-marker) sseoyo (use).”
In the PDF; you do not Romanize the words the way you say them in the audio. Below I contrast your PDF in the first sentence; with what you actually say in audio in the second sentence.
Chingu-reul mannaseo bab-eul meogeul geo-ye-yo.
Chingu-deur mannaseo papb-eul meogeul keo-ye-yo.
It is not a big deal; but similar discrepancies are in every PDF sentence; so I make corrections to every PDF sentence. I realize speakers correctly say “kayo” or “gayo” (go) depending upon where in the sentence kada is placed, and whether the previous word ends in a consonant or vowel; and you can pronounce it either way.

is this sentence right?
You should write “한국어 좋아서 공부해요”. Nice try! 잘 했어요.
저앞에서 호랑이 있어서, 달릴거예요.(there is a tiger in front of me so im going to run away) is this right?
Yeah it is right. You did good job!! :)
However when I run away from scary things, I rather use “도망치다” than “달리다”.
So the natural sentence will be like this.:
저 앞에 호랑이가 있어서, 도망칠 거예요.
암소 와소 황소 타써. ㅋ ㅋ
농부가 막대기 찾아소 황소를 쳐써요.
막대기 황소를 아빠소 황소가 떠나써요.
2 주어 있으몐, “그레소” 사용헤야 돼요?
