Iyagi #146 / 분실 / Losing Things / Natural talk in 100% Korean

takingpictures-1

No one likes to lose things, but it happens. When you have lost something that you were carrying, you can say 잃어 버렸어요, or in a more formal expression, 분실했어요. So in this episode of Iyagi, 경화 and 석진 are talking about their experiences about 분실.

    hi every one

      Hi!

  • Malin

Hi guys, thanks for yet another Iyagi!

It seems that you are now offering a lot more comprehensive translations with vocabulary notes and so on, which is really great! Will this be done for all Iyagi episodes? If you are adding more comprehensive study material for all the Iyagi episodes ( which I sincerely hope you will, as it would be a great help! ) and if you already have bought some Iyagi episodes in the ‘old format’, without vocabulary and grammar notes etc ( 1-10 in my case ), do I have to purchase them again in order to get the extra material?

    Thank you!

    • Hi Malin,

Thanks for enjoying our contents. We planned to make the former iyagi contents to the recent format. However, it will take a long time, I guess.

I appreciate you for letting us know your opinion. I will forward your comment to other staffs.

      Thanks for the reply!

The Iyagi are a great way for beginners like me to get used to listening to naturally spoken Korean, so I am really grateful that you guys provide these for us to learn from. I’m very happy to hear that you plan to make all of the Iyagi into the new format!

      정말 감사함니다!

  • really great..

    tnx for this..

  • Malin

..and just as I cliked Post Comment I realized I spelled 감사합니다 incorrectly, haha! It seems that the Edit Post function isn’t working, by the way ^^

Can you tell me which Iyagi episodes have the detailed packages? I really want to buy all of them since they help me learn. Thanks.

  • Torey

제가 정신을 자주 잃어보렸다고 해도 되나요?

    • 정신을 자주 잃어보렸다고
      > “자주 정신이 없어요” This is more natural.

      제가 자주 정신이 없어요.

  • Trent

Thanks for the lesson. However, the audio link does not appear in my mobile browser (Opera).

Annyeonghaseyo! This series is really a big help though I’m more on reading the pdf files since I find it difficult still to understand words through listening alone. There’s this line from Seokjin-ssi which says “geu nal yok manhi meogeosseosseoyo” (그날 욕 많이 먹었었어요). Based on the online translation I’m using, “yok” (욕) means shame so if I’ll translate the whole sentence, is it “that day i ate a lot of shame”?I guess it’s an idiomatic expression. Please please explain a bit more about this expression.

    Thanks so much!^_^

    • Hi Jovz,
I used the verb 먹다 to mean “to receive” or “to get” and 욕 can also mean blame or swear words.
So what I meant was “I got a lot of blames”.

Yes, it is an idiomatic expression.

Hey, you guys said you would be doing Iyagi more regularly! I don’t mean to be demanding, but I really like this corner on your website, and I hope you guys continually upload lessons for all of us to benefit from. Thank you very much for your dedication to help Korean learners everywhere. Your efforts are much appreciated!

    • Hi Joseph,
I am sorry for not upload the iyagi episode regulary. Actually, we, TTMIK staffs, are spending so busy days recently and concentrating to make better contents.
I hope you understand our circumstances.

  • cath_okay

Thank you for the great lesson. 경화 talks really fast in this one! I always seem to be losing my pens.
